He believes that a big over-reaching central federal government needs to redistribute the wealth and manage everyone's financial lives and money and health care

I'll take "Random words BYH babbles when asked about working for JRC" for $300, Alex.

    True

  9. All Democrats are socialists in the minds of the hard-core GOP'ers. Remember, Bill Clinton was a socialist ... no matter that he had a pretty fiscally conservative economic policy (see balanced budget, surplus when he left office, and Alan Greenspan's book) while the current occupant of the White House (a great conservative) grew the government more than Clinton the socialist and gave us the biggest entitlement program since the Great Society.

Calling Dems socialists is like calling them liberals, just another way of scaring voters into voting Republican. Problem is, that strategy doesn't seem to be working so well any more. Obama is for a pay-as-you-go system, which is hardly socialism. Please do tell what Obama is proposing that is socialism.

Bill was definitely a fiscal conservative. The same reason I adored Paul Tsongas here in Massachusetts.

His wife is the socialist of the family, as is Obama.
You all complain about GWB with his borrow and spend approach - which I cannot stand either - but there is only a slight difference between that and Obama's tax and spend approach.

Even worse is that extra money, no matter how much people want to claim will be coming from the rich, will be hitting us just as hard. I know my uncle, who is retired will be nailed hard with the money he keeps investing to stay afloat in the stock market if the capital gains tax is raised as Obama wants.

You all preach peaches and cream if Obama is elected. I tell you no matter which one is elected times are going to be tough. I would rather have money in my pocket during the hard times than paying for bastard factories and health care for non citizens.

  11. A man who at least claims to be a conservative is in the White House now. How's your wallet?
How was it when the last Republican was in the White House?
Statistically, it probably wasn't as good either time was it was under Clinton.
But hey, keep preaching what you believe, regardless of the facts.
We'll see what happens with Obama, but things can't possibly be worse than they have been the past eight years.

What a stunning recitation of talk-radio tropes.

Egads, man. Get your news from some other places.
