And here we go... the beginning of the end, as reporter in today's Freep

Coaching update: The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday that Eagles quarterbacks coach Pat Shurmur is expected to interview for MSU's head-coaching job. Shurmur, who played at Michigan State in 1983-87, is considered a leading candidate. Meanwhile, Central Michigan coach Brian Kelly made a statement following the Chippewas' win over Western Michigan on Friday, denying he had interviewed for the position, as published reports indicated.

Maybe Andy Reid taught him something. There's hope, right?

Not that I don't doubt Sparty's ability to screw up, but Nick Saban over Fran Gantner doesn't seem like a horrible fate.

Probably right, but Saban held Sparty hostage a few times in regards to jumping ship for other schools/NFL.
When he left for LSU, he said he was going to send "a plane back for his staff." No one went...

Mark Hollis will be the next AD.

Shurmur's still a possibility, but I'd put money on either Brian Kelly or Todd Grantham.
