  1. I admit the sarcasm eluded me.
Get better at it and we'll talk.

Really? How many registered democrats have voted in primaries versus the total amount of registered democrats or even the number of voters who participated in the last presidential primary season?
Is not the Democrat party refusing to seat most of Michigan's and Florida's delegates so far?

The only votes that are counted are the dollars raised and the poll numbers.

Others understood. I guess being the smartest guy in the room doesn't equate to having a sense of humor.

You want to go back to the days where the voters had no say at all in the nomination process? Where the nominees were decided in smoke-filled rooms?

Granted, this system has serious flaws. But unless they were to schedule all the primaries in the country for one day (why don't they do this anyway), this is probably the best alternative.

  5. Actually, it does.
    Humor is required, however.

    1. Yes, a million people have voted.
    2. It's the Democratic Party. Not the Democrat Party. Turn off Rush and Bill O once in a while and you'd know that.
    3. The state parties in Michigan and Florida knew this was a possibility when they decided to break the schedule and go against the DNC. They can't cry about it now. And Hillary certainly can't say now that she wants the votes to count when she: Was the only candidate on the ballot in Michigan, Was the only candidate campaigning in the Florida and signed the DNC pledge not to campaign in those two states, meaning she has flat-out lied to the voters of Iowa and New Hampshire.

  7. That having been said, she got an awful lot of votes in Florida considering that none of them counted and considering that there was a huge GOP primary the same day.

Using the logic of the other thread Edwards supporters will have to "betray" either their sex or their race because they must now vote for either a black dude or a woman.

That's using the logic of the NOW group in New York.

So did Obama. I'm borrowing these figures from Zeke:

31 percent of ballots counted today were absentee or mail-in early votes. HRC beat Obama there by a wide margin, 49-29, or 20 points. Likewise, among people who voted today but made up their minds more than a month ago, HRC won by 40, 64-25.

Of the ballots actually cast today by people who made up their minds since the campaign started, Obama won.

46-42 with voters who decided in the last month.
38-31 with voters who decided in the last week.
45-40 with voters who decided in the last three days.

Among folks who decided on election day, there is a very strange split, with HRC getting 35, Edwards getting 31 and Obama getting 27.
