In case you haven’t noticed, there has been a reshuffling of the deck in state sports media over the past few weeks. You might not be able to tell who’s who or who’s where without a scorecard.

    So here’s a scorecard:

    - Starting at home plate, Ben Roberts is now working full-time at the Herald-Leader covering UK basketball recruiting. Ben runs our popular Next Cats recruiting site.

    - Columnists Rick Bozich and Eric Crawford started the ball rolling back in late May by leaving the Courier-Journal in Louisville for WDRB-TV in Louisville, where both are writing columns, providing studio commentary and videoing commercials.

    - Tim Sullivan, formerly of the Cincinnati Enquirer and more recently of the San Diego Union-Tribune, is the new sports columnist for the Courier-Journal.

    - Jody Demling, tireless recruiting reporter for the Courier-Journal, has departed the C-J for Fox Sports, where he is now running the Scout site on University of Louisville sports entitled Cardinal Authority.

    - Steve Jones, formerly the recruiting reporter for the Rivals’ University of Kentucky site Cats Illustrated, has replaced Demling at the Courier-Journal. Steve previously worked at the C-J on the copy desk.

    - Corey Albertson, formerly of Rivals’ Xavier site, has replaced Jones at Cats Illustrated.

    - Recruiting analyst and Larry Glover Live staple Jeff Drummond has departed the Cats Pause to join Fox Sports and run the Scout site for UK sports entitled Kentucky Sports Report. I have been informed (see comments) that the site is now called KentuckyScout.com.

    - The young and talented James Pennington informed his twitter followers last night that as of Monday he is no longer working for the Cats Pause.

    - Thomas Beisner has replaced Matt Jones as the host of Kentucky Sports Television.

    - And look for changes on both the Clear Channel and IMG pre-game shows before Kentucky football games this season. Hearing that Matt Jones and Ryan Lemond will be doing the pre-game show for Clear Channel and Neil Price will be the host of the pre-game show for IMG."

Shuffle is the right word. Not a lot of new blood other than Sullivan (who was a great hire).
