    Nice troll piece by the virtuous Posnanski.
    It however requires a finesse that he don't have.
    Should stick to manufacturing sugar product that will rot your teeth.

    Actually, the same could be said about shaving the NBA and NHL schedule in half as well. Knock their regular season down to 40 or 50 games and there'd be more urgency and intensity night in and night out.

    Well, you could argue the short-season A-ball teams sort of do this, but of course winning is not a significant factor for their team management so they do not adopt win-every-game strategies such as going with a 2-or-3-man rotation, running into full-blast collisions at home plate, etc etc, which teams would do if they played 75-game schedules and went completely balls-out to win every game.
