    Then you'd have a pitching staff of like five and a designated starter every week and teams would carry 20 position players.

    Games would each be 36 hours long, like cricket.

    Test cricket is considerably longer than that. Five days, typically in the summertime when the days are long, and you go from first bowl until the light becomes too bad.

    Yankees-Red Sox games would be 48 hours long.

    That was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. If games were once a week, we'd basically only see teams' No. 1 or No. 2 starters.

    I know it's never going to happen, as Pos said, they won't even shave off a couple games, but I think baseball would be pretty good with a schedule similar to what they do in the NHL and NBA.

    Agreed. It would be fun if a small league started up and tried it this way.
