You've just been offered the job of Director, Player Personnel for a WNBA team.

Pay is $110K, plus benefits including first-class travel.

    Do you take it?

    Why or why not?

Which team wants you Luggie? My yes was for me and you, though I don't know your current salary.

    It depends.

How happy/secure are you in your current job?

How much are you already making?

How will this affect your family?

How sure are you that the WNBA team is going to be around for a while?

How confident are you that you can handle the new role?

The pay and benefits look good from my standpoint but there are too many other factors for me to just give a yes or no answer to someone else considering this.

How much longer will the WNBA be around?

Not quite enough of a bump in pay for my purposes. Plus I'd be going from $110,000 one year to zero the next year when the team cans my incompetent ass.

Yes, sure you take it. That's a good job. Not one I could do, but a good one nonetheless

If I knew squat about the WNBA I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Plus, it's the type of job that should make it pretty easy to slide back into a TV sports gig if it doesn't work out.

These are factors you'll all have to consider.

    $110K - I wanted it to be a little ambiguous - not necessarily a no-brainer.

Let's say, though, it's in a city you like.  And you've been assured your job is secure as long as you produce results.

For $110k, I think I could suck it up and at least fake an interest in women's basketball.
And I'd be that much closer to getting a date with Sue Bird.

Folks, this is a hypothetical spawned from the Snow thread.

I'm asking YOU. Would YOU do it?
