Not at all, Elliotte. Just being absolutely honest in expressing my surprise that it hadn't been remarked upon on a thread like this.

 

When you show UNCONDITIONAL support to a nation, and never hold it accountable for its own mistakes, certain people might find that offensive.

Case in point: One of the ad nauseum rationales for attacking Iraq was the precious "17 UN resolutions" that Saddam broke.

Those 17 are about 20% as many as Israel has broken.

Doesn't mean we should not "help" Israel.

But it does send a message to the rest of the world that nobody else over there is going to get a fair shake from the US.

 

I knew that when I checked this thread this morning, I'd find a Proustian/Tolstoyan paragraph wherein BR backpedaled and denied. And I knew it would be yet more unintentional comedy.
