I've got a bunch of sound files saved, Tom Hamilton's homerun calls during the Thome-Belle-Manny era. Spent about a half hour listening to them tonight. Man... the memories... including the shot high off the Jacobs Field scoreboard by Thome. Listening to the clip, you'd think Hamilton just blew a load in his shorts. Harkening back, I think I did.

Belle's shot to center off Lee Smith was amazing. Never HEARD a ball hit that hard.

"They will have to rip this jersey off my back!"

    "It's not about the money."

    "My wife is my rock."

    Great hitter? Yes.

    HOFer? Yes.

    A fucking liar?

    Yes. I'm with you, IJAG.

Say what you want about Belle and Ramirez, but they never lied.

    To hell with Thome.

    I love you.

I just remember him talking forEVER about how much he loved living in Avon, how it was his home, he never wanted to leave, etc.

    Couldn't agree more, IJAG.

Belle was an asshole, most definitely.

Manny was a halfwit, without question.

But at least they owned their assholishness and halfwitness.

Thome? Big, fat, liar. (OK, I sound like I'm 12, I know, but who cares...)

To clarify, I don't hate him for leaving. I get free agency. And yes, McGwire, I get the sixth-year option thing. But just say "I'd like to stay in Cleveland, but we'll see what happens."

All the people who talk about how genuine he is make me want to vomit.

It was Andrea Pacioni that was calling the shots. She wanted a bigger city where she could (hopefully) land a job at a bigger station. I never liked her.

    This, a thousand times this.

People who are still naive enough to declare anyone 100% clean are foofs. I f I had to bet I would say he is, but who knows.
