See how hard it is to think like Jim Nantz.

(Who by he way is a pretty good guy if you ever have had a chance to spend time with him one-on-one).

Maybe so, but all of ours were better.

    It's too bad he's such a toady for the current regime . . . but once a houseboy . . .

That was contrived even by Nantz's standards.

that wasn't even his worst offense of the night. I laughed out loud at his exertion at the start of OT that "Kansas is used to overtime" because the 1957 team went to OT in the title game. Forget for a moment that those kids last night hadn't been born yet -- some of their PARENTS probably hadn't been born yet. Laughable.

Does he have a team of writers working as soon as the brackets come down? Do they huddle with him during TV time outs of the final game? I'm dying to know the process.

As a matter of fact, webster, he does.

Maybe its not Nantz specifically but CBS has always seemed so smarmy to me and their treatment of the NCAA Tournament is so polished. Oh how I long for John Saunders/Dickie V and the ESPN wraparound coverage of Rd. 1 and Al McGuire/Enberg on NBC.
