    I'm not much of a fan of The Beatles, but if you have unlimited funds like Irsay does, $2.2 million for Ringo's original kit seems like a bargain.

    When I saw this was bumped I made an assumption about why. Glad I was wrong. And I don't know anything about the music collector scene, but my first reaction to the price is the same as TV's

    No surprise he bought the drum kit. He's been buying Beatles gear.

    There were seven kits made. Irsay now has number 2.

    The Beatles bass player has number 1.
