A life conceived out of pain, not out of joy. RIP to a seemingly troubled person who was a poor man's Lou Reed.

    (Nice fix, BGZ)

Teddy sniffing glue, he was 12 years old
Fell from the roof on East Two-nine
Cathy was 11 when she pulled the plug
On 26 reds and a bottle of wine
Bobby got leukemia, 14 years old
He looked like 65 when he died
He was a friend of mine

    RIP, Mr. Carroll.

Enjoyed the movie and keep a copy in my tape collection today.
Was never sure who it was based on.
Great scenes on what it must be like to "come off" something you are heavily, heavily dependent on.
    Interesting obit.

I read that book many, many years ago, but it really stuck with me. I wasn't that much in tune with him as a punk-rock guy, but that was a helluva book.
