    Red Bank Friday night fireworks are supposed to be the best.
    Point Pleasant's are usually good, and they have fireworks every Thursday night on the beach through July and August.

    Wow, that place looks awesome. And they have breakfast, too!

    We've always enjoyed Cape May, at the southern end. Backstreet Cafe has good, healthy grub. Mrs. Editude likes walking around the shops in Stone Harbor.

    We spent vacation last week at my in-laws in Little Silver. Had dinner at Gaetano's in Red Bank. Always good food there. My wife thinks Juanito's, also in Red Bank, is the greatest Mexican food in the country. It's good, but I don't know that it's that much better than any other Mexican joint.

    Is that the 18th? Most years we check out that Saturday, but this year that's when we get there. Two weeks from tonight I start the drive from Illinois.

    I think I read somewhere that Night in Venice is July 25 this year, but don't quote me.
    I'm a long way from Jersey, and I'm not going to be visiting for some time.
