    EDITORS:
The Angels’ Jered Weaver hasn’t allowed a hit through six innings against the Dodgers. The Dodgers lead 1-0.

Jeff Weaver, meanwhile, has the munchies.

The Angels just pulled Weaver for a pinch hitter, it seems.

Nice - Kemp reaches on an error, steals second and goes to third on a throwing error, scores on a sac fly.

Holy shit - the Angels just pinch-hit for Weaver.

What? We can't call them no-hit advisories anymore? :D

Figgins pinch hits for Weaver and grounds out.

Shit, Weaver could have done that.

Technically, this is not a no-hitter advisory. Should the Dodgers win 1-0 without a hit, it will not be a no-hitter. No-hitters must go nine innings.

Other than complete games, I wonder when the last time was that a starter pitched long enough to be credited for a win, allowed no hits and took the loss.

The fielding error, by the way, was on Jered Weaver himself.

Very surprised he got pinch-hit for ... interesting.

As for a starter getting yanked with a no-hitter, Greg Maddux went six hitless in his Dodgers debut on Aug. 3, 2006, then didn't come back out after an hour-long rain delay. Dodgers won that one, though.

Should the Angels tie it up, however, and the Dodgers remain without a hit ... it's still eligible to be a no-hitter.

Who is the last pitcher to throw a no-hitter and lose?

    Andy Hawkins?
