That kicked my ass and hard. It never seems that hard when I'm watching on television.

Yeah...that was rough. Lotsa author questions.

    Who wrote Cider House Rules?
    All Things Considered on NPR?
    Where was Donatello born?
These types of words end in LY (I know I got that one right :D)
Henry VII ruled what English city?
What British soul singer was nominated for six Grammys in 2008?
What is the capital of Canada?
Who was Time's 2007 person of the year?

  9. No. 1 was "This MTV show has broadcast from Miami, Denver, New Orleans and Sydney"

No. 50 was "This entertainer's last concert was at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis on June xx 1977"

Lots of U.S. history on there, which was good for me.

The wording of a few of them tripped me up. It was tough to absorb the category, the question, think of the answer AND type it in all in 15 seconds.

There was one under Rhyme Time that said something about this is what would happen to the Dutch if their government was overthrown? No clue on that one.

  10. Who wrote Cider House Rules?
    John Irving.

    All Things Considered on NPR?
    No clue.

    Where was Donatello born?
I guessed Florence. I was right.

These types of words end in LY (I know I got that one right :D)

Henry VII ruled what English city?
Actually it was Henry VII was the first in which dynasty. Tudor.

What British soul singer was nominated for six Grammys in 2008?
How the hell does Amy Winehouse qualify as a soul singer?

What is the capital of Canada?
    Ottawa

Who was Time's 2007 person of the year?
    Putin

  11. A few that I remember:

    U.S. president when WWI began.
    Woodrow Wilson.

Artist who had last concert in Cincinnati in 1977.
It was Indianapolis, and answer was Elvis.

City known for its two-shelled opera house.
    Sydney, Australia

    Capital of Oregon.
    Salem

Order in which hooved animals belong.
Got this one wrong. Ungulate was the answer.

British book award won by Salman Rushdie.
The Booker Prize. Unfortunately I blanked on the name. I wonder if they'll accept "the Crikey! Award" for partial credit?

  12. Others that I remember...

State where the golden spike is located where the transcontinental railroad came to an end.

    Answer: Sheer.

Carlos Slim Helu surpassed who to become the richest man in the world.
Guessed Bill Gates, and I was right.

This author of "The Gold-Bug" was buried in a pauper's grave in Baltimore.
    Poe

There was a question asking what the Mitchell commission investigated.

There was a Doomsday Book question.

Who painted "Meadow in the Garden of Saint-Paul Hospital?"
Left it blank. Answer: Van Gogh
