I was thinking Tera Patrick, just because she already had amazing assets and then got them enhanced anyway, but she may be too young.

Still cracks me up that her stage name is pronounced the same (but spelled differently) as Carmen Electra's real name.

Where was I?

Weekend warriors. So these women come to Vegas in packs - a lot of them are from San Diego or L.A. They are your everyday women M-F. On the weekends, like 10 of them will get a cheap hotel room. They "get ready" out of that room. They have agreements with the strip club owners to "rent a pole" for lack of a better term. Many of them pick up thousands of dollars on a good weekend.

So this is what she was doing when she met somebody in the adult film industry, and from what I understand, she got some pretty good advice. She was a hit in her first film.

The way it works is, you don't do much of anything in your first porno. You hold out. Then you get big bucks the first time you do girl-on-girl. Then you don't do the next thing. Then you get big bucks the first time you do ____. And so on and so on. I guess it's a marketing thing? A film can be marketed as "Sydney Steele's first girl-on-girl." You get the idea.

So she was doing well in the film industry and came up with this "5 year plan" (as told to me by my friend.) She wanted to become "set for life" during that time. I think she was trying to make into the millions of dollars.

Well, my friend and this lady ended up forging a real friendship as far as I can tell. He would go out to Vegas and meet up with her and some other people (he was actually invited to the awards one year). A few times he called me up and put her on the phone. He does not drink, so it can't even be called drunk dialing. We chatted a few times. She seemed very nice.

I am the curious type, and I try not to judge people. But I was hoping my friend would meet a nice girl and get married. That's what I wanted for him, and I'm pretty sure that's what he wanted, too. And this porn star was NOT the "one." ;D

So he became closer and closer to her... and I started to get more and more tired of hearing about her "glamorous" life. He would tell me how seriously people in the porn industry take their craft. And I would roll my eyes. He would try to legitimize what she did for a living... he made it seem like your everyday job. Then she got her first starring role - yipee! She sent him an autographed picture of the movie poster, which he proudly displayed.

And I admit I was a little jealous, too. I always thought he held me up as the ideal, dammit! I'm joking somewhat, but the more he went on and on and on about this woman, the madder (and more curious) I got. He would often tell me that me and this woman shared some qualities, which infuriated me.

Anyway, at some point I realized my discouraging the relationship was only fanning the flames, so I decided instead to encourage him to find out more about this person, which he did.

It turns out the reason she was so intent on making herself "set for life" is that she had a little girl at home to take care of. She was a single mom, and the father of her child basically washed his hands of the two of them. Working as a receptionist in a law office just wasn't paying the bills.
