She called for advertisers to boycott the Cowboys.

I presume, at this point, she just walks away from ESPN.

 

How the fuck is that not within the scope of her position?

Suspend her tweeting against the company's interests, sure. But don't wrap it in the cloak of her prior indiscretion so as to avoid acknowledging that your corporation is bought and sold by the entities it purports to cover.

 

"This play always work. Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ's statement, boycott his advertisers."

There is a desperate need for an independent sports news organization. You have one whose lead baseball writer moonlights as an employee of Major League Baseball, and gets away with writing hatchet pieces about other leagues' PED policies without a word of disclosure to readers about his business interest. You have another that is so financially indebted to the NFL that it suspends the face of its supposed news organization for mildly crossing it.

I hear she's a wonderful person when she isn't coming completely unhinged on social media.

 

I'd have a lot more respect for her if she just nutted up and quit on her own.

She obviously doesn't want to be there. IMO, at least.
