Jemele Hill interview

    In a professional capacity? Sure.

Speaking/writing casually in an interview? Completely different situation.

Getting off kicking someone while they're down? Over a misused phrase? Yeah, fairly telling, and the type of thing that's unfortunately common on SJ.

Oh, come off it. I didn't kick her when she was down. I wasn't like "Hey, Jemele! You're an idiot!" Christ.

Even she said she's not reading any of this shit. And, if she were, I would not be even a blip on her radar screen.

Myriad is one of my pet peeves. That and Dr Pepper.

Myriad can be a noun or an adjective.

I believe journalists, writers, editors and authors should have a higher standard of verbiage and expectation of correct usage whether casual or serious in nature.

We'll have to agree to disagree, I guess. Y'all have a nice day.

See? Now I'm learning something. I just looked it up on m-w.com, and you're right. I had always been taught and told that it was merely an adjective.

I mean, wait. The fact you're correcting me says far more about you than it does about me as a journalist. I was just posting lightly on a message board, so it was not in a professional capacity.

    Phew. Much better.

ALL-CAPS, in black no less, belies such sentiments.

    No.

    Just a couple.

YOU are the one who doesn't GET Carlin.

If there had been a worthwhile joke, I would have gotten it.

I think it's more than a couple, but fewer than a myriad of definitions.

There are two definitions as a noun, and two as an adjective.
