Board favorite, or at least was, Jeff MacGregor tweeted he was leaving ESPN on good terms to work on a novel and do some magazine work for the Smithsonian.

These moves used to generate some interest around these parts, so I thought I would post.

I wish he'd come back around but that's for another day.

    Is this an approved topic?

I guess with Boom gone, it should be safe to discuss -- but tread carefully folks, this is a fluid situation.

Is there something about this you're afraid to say?

His ESPN stuff was turgid and it seemed even he was losing interest in being that voice.
He is no doubt a talented person and I hope he thrives in his new pursuits.
Always seemed like more of an itinerant poet anyway.

To have "turgid" from 3_octave_fart is excellent.

Very talented guy, and I look forward to reading something different from him. IIRC, his leaving the board had something to do with the company discouraging posting.

Good for him. He was my Secret Santa years ago.

He was good at first, but then he went too far.
