Plea agreement was released this morning. He traveled regularly to New York to have sex with underage girls. Looks like he'll serve somewhere between 5 and 12 years in federal prison and is paying out $100,000 each to 14 victims.

Jared Fogle to plead guilty to child porn, sex with minors

We're going to play the, "How can you be outraged about this one thing and not this other thing that is even more outrageous?" game. That one's always fun.

But the answer is: No one actually thinks that kiddie porn or child abuse is delightful.

People certainly think prison rape is delightful.

    It's not.

Maybe the prison rapist has some friends who saw Jared being flirtatious.

The plea agreement says that on "multiple occasions" between about 2011 and 2015 Fogle received child pornography from Russell C. Taylor, the former executive director of his charity, The Jared Foundation. The unidentified victims in the photos and videos were as young as "approximately six years of age."

Until I get to that paragraph, I'm thinking, "Sex with teen-agers can get you 12 years? That seems a little steep."

Hush your mouth, we only quote prosecution-friendly witnesses in these parts.

Just because a couple of people crack a couple of prison rape jokes doesn't mean they think it is "delightful." It just means they are cracking jokes, something that happens often here.

Maybe Jared only believes he'll be raped in prison.

I have a 6-year-old daughter. Anything Jared gets in prison is only what's coming to him. Fuck him with a rusty saw blade.

Would you crack jokes about Patrick Kane's accuser, for example?

Would you crack jokes about Erica Kinsman being allegedly raped?

Ugh. I get it. Rape is rape, whether in prison or in a hockey player's condo. I was only pointing out that a thread in which people were making, and being applauded for (myself included), child pornography jokes is a strange place to claim some moral high ground.

I agree with you on a lot of the threads on this board, Dick, but sometimes you are just the worst.

I know. It's rough when someone rains on a rape joke parade. The worst, even.

If he *only* had sex with 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds, that would seem a little steep. Sentencing on child pornography charges in the federal system can spiral up very quickly though with the way the sentencing enhancements - or aggravating factors as we call 'em in the state system I work in - apply.

Looks like he's getting far less than NASCAR spokesman Chip Williams.
