Jan. 3 bowl thread

    The International Bowl was fun. It was a sloppy but entertaining game.

    Terrific crowd, certainly the Buffalo fans traveled well which was to be expected, but I was sitting on the UConn side and they were well represented too. (The UConn band kicked some ass too.) Lotta locals too - they were the ones wearing NFL jerseys.

    On a personal note, Huggy Jr. saw his first live football game and even took part in a pre-game tailgate. Big day for the eight-year-old.

    And yes, JR, you shoulda taken me up on the offer of free tix.

    The Jan. 2 Bowl thread got locked, so I'll use this one to say how much I enjoyed the 60 Minutes piece on Mike Leach. It was mostly cribbed from the Michael Lewis article, but they had Scott Pelley, a TTech alum, reporting it so it was pretty good. He's not your standard college football coach, but it's amazing to me he hasn't been pursued more.
