Jake Plummer to call it quits?

Old Horse Mouth won two Super Bowls and led the Broncos to three others. Plummer has ... a miserable home AFC title game against the Steelers?

I won't deny that, but calling him Mr. Joke is, well, a joke. There are far worse QBs in the NFL and the Broncos have had worse QBs since Elway.

That may have had something to do with Terrell Davis, also.

  6. Davis wasn't around for the first three. Those were solely thanks to Elway.

True, but when Elway finally got around to winning a Super Bowl he had one of the best running backs ever lining up behind him.

  8. Oh, I know. But SC was trying to stick up for her love interest by denigrating one of the best-ever quarterbacks.

A lot of poor to mediocre quarterbacks have decent career winning percentages. See Orton, Kyle.

Don't be hating on Orton, if he would have been the QB the Bears might have actually hung in the game against the Colts.

Um, Chris, that pic isn't very SFW.

Unless Jake has a big, curly patch of auburn hair on the top of his left thigh.

  11. Thanks for rubbing it in, fucker. :D

That would be like saying the Lions should have won the Super Bowl once or twice because Barry Sanders was the running back there for years. That and it is a team game. Bottom line, you need good play from your quarterback to win games.

Last year, Plummer completed only 55.2 percent of 317 passes for 11 touchdowns, 13 picks and less than 2,000 yards. With any halfway decent production from their quarterback, the Broncos would have been in the playoffs last season.

Just a miserable season, no matter how you slice it.
