Expect to see a job posted in the next week or so for a sports position — heavy on design — at the Jackson Citizen Patriot, a 35,000 in Michigan. It's a Booth paper, so the pay and benefits should be good. The department has been without its lead designer for about a week.

It seems that the position might become more of a designer/writer hybrid than pure designer, but the paper will definitely be looking for someone with design ability first.
