Easy enough to do with those two. Growing Pains did show more personality than Family Ties. Problem is, for the most part it was retarded personality.

Who's The Boss + Growing Pains = another lonely Friday night.

i think they both had kids who aged by years in one season ... correct? ... and i was like 8 on those lonely friday nights, btw.

Growing Pains did the "add a kid to kill freshen up the show" thing. Actor who played the kid is doing a smidgen better than ol' Andy Keaton, though.

Actually, they did it twice. Leo, and the redhead girl. I think she only skipped a year or two, if at all. Nothing as absurd as cradle-to-2nd grade Andy, though.

    Chrissy Seaver sucked.

That's all I have to add to this conversation.

The redheaded girl, played by Ashley Johnson, skipped more than a year. She was a baby, then she was as big as my 4-year-old. I had to check IMDB for the name, but I knew I had seen her again. The wife's turn at the movies a few back took us to "What Women Want," in which she played Mel Gibson's daughter.

Bosnall gave us two annoying little kids before his last acting credit in 1994. He also played Worf's kid on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He really should've taken a Bat'leth (I think that's how you write it) to the kid's noggin.
