Why not? I am white. Besides, I've got three doctors, one white, the Indian and a specialist who I believe is biracial. What's the big deal about that?

    Rosie is right.
I'll give up lots of things. I won't give up coffee.
    I've tried.
    I won't try again.
I need to lose weight and all that but I will not give up my coffee.
If someone says "you will die if you don't give up coffee," I will say, "Don't spend too much on the funeral. Put my sox in a cedar box and kiss my ass good-bye (thank you John Prine)."

I tend to make really strong coffee. I don't know whether that's the problem or it's something else... But I have some serious bowel movements when I drink coffee. Also, I get terrible stomach aches where it feels like I'm going to vomit. Then I crash so hard in the afternoons that I nearly can't keep my eyes open.

Is this normal? Because of my reaction to this great drug, I don't drink much coffee.

I'm into Day 5 of No Coffee. I must admit I'd doing a lot better with the no coffee campaign than I am stopping smoking and losing weight. However, I did walk two miles today.

Easiest way to stop drinking coffee is to do what I did. Never started drinking coffee.

Too late for that but not too late to quit. I've also been sleeping better of late too.

Almost had a relapse this evening. A friend, who didn't know I had stopped drinking coffee, dropped by with some doughnuts and a nice cup of Starbucks. Thank goodness I had the strength to say no.

I won't lie. I'm completely addicted to coffee. It's the only thing getting me through grad school.
