I've had Bose headphones. The TriPorts are good-quality phones, but the piece that connects the ears broke three times - I might have a larger-than-average head. Upgraded for a small price to the NoiseCancelling phones.

Terrific phones ... but if it's connected to a limited unit, the sound will still be limited.

    Bubbler,

I'll never be as cool as Don Cheadle - who among us really is? - and I'll never have a shirt that out there. Just not my nature.

Speaking of iTunes and Sam Mills, I'm ripping Genesis' Duke album right now as we speak.

    Terrific track. Outstanding.

"Duchess" is criminally underrated, and "Turn It On Again" has the honor of being a top hit and still worth numerous listens.

"Behind The Lines/Duchess/Guide Vocal" should always be listened to in order - not shuffled - and same for "Duke's Travels/Duke's End." Might be the best thematic album the group did and should be listened to in the order in which it was mastered.

iTunes definitely has trouble with concept albums/joined pieces of music. Try listening to the Beatles' Abbey Road suite on shuffle. Doesn't work.

Before I rip an album I re-assess all the songs to see if they're worthy of my gigs. Forgot what an excellent song Alone Tonight is.

"Alone Tonight" is one of the weakest tracks, along with "Misunderstanding." But that's also an indication of how good this album is.

You can adjust the compression level when you rip the CD into iTunes. I have mine set at a pretty decent level. It's still being compressed, but if you go to 192 kbps or higher I think you'd have a pretty hard time noticing the compression. I don't notice it at that level, and I hate low-quality recordings.

I think what freaks me out is the literally hundreds of songs on my iTunes with zero listens. :D

Don't ask me why...but I'm a huge country person and the only country on here is Carrie Underwood. I swear I have more stuff on here than just her. Also, how this list escaped my favorite artist of all time - Garth Brooks - is COMPLETELY beyond me. Maybe I need to start listening to more country.....
