Aiight y'all, it's one of the most wonderful times of year: JazzFest time. And because I want y'all to enjoy WWOZ's live broadcasts as much as I do, I wanted to pass the word. Go to wwoz.org and listen live. It's great. The site also has a schedule, updated each morning of the Fest, of who will be featured online.

Also wanted to remind those who care about Piano Night, a wonderful musical event that WWOZ broadcasts live. It's Monday, April 30 and begins at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy. I can't wait to get down there next week.

Anyone else going to get to enjoy?

    You sorry, lucky bastard.

Can you bring me back a college girl with no shame?

Must be nice to not have spring sports playoffs to deal with. Have a hurricane and tell Ellis Marsalis I said hey.

Attended JazzFest in 2001. Most. Miserable. Experience. Ever.

The music was good that year: Dave Matthews, Cowboy Mouth, North Mississippi All-Stars, Lenny Kravitz (guest), Outkast, well, you get the picture.

They all played on the same stage. A new attendance record was set that day. It took me two hours to go 300 meters to piss and get beer. I became involved, for the only time in my life, in a crowd that scared me.

People pushing, kids trampled, women crying. Bad, bad scene.

    Never again.

New Orleans' food scene is waay overrated, IMO.

Yes, and everybody knows you don't find the best in New Orleans.

Wasn't trying to be an asshole, I've just never been impressed with the food there.

I didn't think you were trying to be an asshole. Next time you're in Louisiana, let me take you to lunch.
