    spnited, Dale was a good guy. He had his religious reasons but he wasn't a Dave Kingman type of guy.

    I'm pretty sure he retired in 1995, right after the Yankees coughed up a 2-0 lead to the Mariners in the ALDS.

    he only homered once? shit. i only saw him homer in the postseason on tv, then. i did see him play his final game as a yankee, though i never saw griffey touch home because i was already on the kingdome ramparts with a bloodied hand from punching a cement wall. stupid jack mcdowell.
