This could doom the company, folks.

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong.

Seriously, why in hell is Funaki gassing up? To be a jobber? I'm surprised they don't just fire him, since he's no longer Smackdown's Number One Announcer or part of Kai En Tai.

The only ones that don't surprise me are Batista, Orton and Masters. The lack of Rey Rey is shocking.

I would suspect that HHH wouldn't get the boot if it were him -- that they'd make some lame excuse to keep him active because, well, he IS the billion dollar prince. He does look smaller, but still too cut to not be on something.

To be fair, these apparently are all connected to the same pharamacy. So Triple H might be getting his juice elsewhere, or he could -- gasp! -- be clean! Not likely, but if you like wrestling, you like willingly suspending your disbelief.

    Bah.

McMahon's steroid trial in the early 90s didn't kill off the WWE. In fact, it led to the creation of some of WWE's' greatest superstars (Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels).

If anything's going to kill off the WWE, it's bad booking.

    William Regal? WTF?

McMahon's trial greatly increased the scrutiny of the then-WWF, and it forced them to phase out some of their beefier wrestlers. But this is the loss of 13 active wrestlers, some of whom (Batista, Orton, Kennedy, Johnny Nitro, Booker) are major stars. For the next month, maybe more, the WWE has to figure out how to fill its shows. Kennedy was rumored to be the bastard son of Vince's. Orton just did a white-hot angle with Cena and his dad. Batista has been pushed for more than two years, not counting injury time. Morrison/Nitro is the ECW champion. That's a whole lot of on the fly reshuffling, and on the fly booking is what helped to kill WCW.

    Touche.

But it goes to show that Vince and Co. needs to go the ROH route in regards to pushing wrestlers who may be smaller. They can't rely on body-builder types anymore.

Regal was an admitted drug abuser in the past, so his might not be 'roids.

HHH probably gets his junk from his old man-in-law, so he'll likely never be "caught".

Either way...enjoy Cena and the Great Khali, folks. They won't be going anywhere for quite some time.

They need Jericho. They REALLY need The Rock, but they'll take Jericho. But they need someone who can get people excited about wrestling again. A good surprise, instead of the ones we've been hit with in the last few months. Put Jericho on Smackdown and give him Edge's push. Have him win the title right away, and let him work his magic. It's not a permanent fix, but he's one of the few names WWE can add that a) is big enough to matter and b) would work for them.

    My guesses:

    1. Randy Orton
    2. Batista
    3. Finlay
    4. Umanga [/regal]
    5. Snitsky
    6. Chris Masters
    7. Mark Henry
    8. Rey
    9. Big Daddy V
    10. Boogeyman
