Webb was, by far, the best speaker last night. He had the big advantage of speaking the truth with genuine convictions. W's speech carved out the usual righty positions. Not much change. Interesting the way he positioned his latest pass at shifting the financial burden of health care from corporations to employees, dressing it up as a tax cut. Reminds me of the way defined benefit pension plans were phased out in favor of those wonderful new 401-Ks during the '80s and '90s.

I especially liked how Webb called for troops to remain in Iraq for another 50 years and everybody missed it.

So how does him lauding Eisenhower mean he's calling for troops to remain in Iraq another 50 years? Your reasoning, and logic, are incredibly suspect if this is how it normally works.

That's a hell of a leap, tony, and you know it.

The way he said it, it sure sounded like that's exactly what he wants Bush to do in Iraq.

And I see both you and Zeke completely dodged the question about with whom to negotiate the Armistice Treaty.

One question at a time, Tony. One question at a time.

So because it "sounds" like it to you, that's what he wants? Tony, please man, use some better logic in your arguments. Seriously.

That's actually not what he said. He said Eisenhower "ended" the Korean War, which he did. If you're going to define it the way you have, we're still fighting the Revolutionary War.

As for your aside, again, you've heard what you want to instead of what was said. He said we should try diplomacy to gain stability in the REGION, not the country.

Keep trying though, dumbass. Maybe you'll make a valid point one of these days.
