I hope Fisk University women's basketball fans aren't close to any sharp objects.

Link to the SID release: http://lipscombsports.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/recaps/111307aab.html

Fisk had 35 turnovers, shot 16.7 percent and was out-rebounded 67-19.

Glad I wasn't there. I might have poked my eyes out with a red pen.

Missed the Division I women's record for margin of victory by one point.

Norman, Bill gets a hard-on for running up the score. That cat is having wet dreams tonight of beating Buffalo by 102 points.

Sucks for the Fisk women that they can't play the UK men in Rupp this season...

I'd put that line at UK guys minus-2 1/2.

When I was in high school, our girls basketball team won a game 123-11. Folks in the area weren't too happy.

Hell, I covered a 123-19 game last year. Team that lost had two girls foul out and had to play 5 on 3 (one girl was out with an injury, if I remember correctly).

It was a tight game until that 28-0 run turned a 6-2 lead to 34-2. And then that 19-0 run later in the half. And then that 17-0 run ...

Back when I covered women's college hoops, I had a system of relieving boredom during these far-too frequent blowouts...

    1. Look for the most unathletic person on the bad team.
    2. Watch her fall down.
    3. Laugh.
    4. Watch her fall down.
    5. Laugh again.

It's always funny, epecially if she's tall, and even funnier if she's tall and Eastern European.
