I'm in need of a new (or used) car and I am totally shocked at the prices people want.
Is it greed or what? I can't see the price people are paying for transportation.

Check Edmonds.com or NADA.com. If people are selling above those prices, it's greed.

Who are the ad wizards who came up with that one?

  5. Well, hell, if you weren't insisting on an independent rear suspension.

You want a sturdy bumper, boots. I fear you may get rear ended.

AND HOW COME THEY SELL HOT DOGS IN PACKS OF TEN AND HOT DOG BUNS IN PACKS OF EIGHT?

Actually I know what boots is going through. I'm in the market for a new (more likely newer used) vehicle, and some of what they want for a car is pretty high. But I'm pretty sure I can get a newer version of my dearly departed Jeep at the same mileage as the old one when I bought it for roughly the same price.

But I'm a big'un, so Toyota Priuses and Kia Rios are not in my future except as possible mating partners.

Why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways?

And make sure there's still some tread on the tires, eh?

    Two words: Car. Max.

However, if you want a Toyota or Honda, you're best off haggling at a dealer, because Carmax doesn't get many of those for its used car dealerships.

You will be even more shocked and outraged once you get the car and find out how much it costs to put gas in it.....
