Whatever the rhetoric, why not blame the listeners for once? People, wake up, if you do not like the issues raised by the candidates, tune them out.

Criticizing someone for raising a point which resonates is not getting to the source, the people for which it resonates, blame those people.

Sports writers write about A-Rod and the stripper? Well that's because people want to read that. Don't criticize the messenger, criticize the listeners.

The stupid part is that you guys follow this crap, and root for your favorites like it's some sort of Super Bowl.... And every one of these elected officials is leading our country straight down the crapper.

    Yay/Boo Team Elephant!
    Yay/Boo Team Donkey!

You guys? To whom are you referring?

And, let's be honest, who the hell else are people going to vote for? Bill the Cat?

The funniest thing about all of this is the only way the republicans can win in November is if the Democrats stumble all over themselves and become a laughingstock with bickering and infighting.

They are doing a good job of achieving that goal.

Eleanor Clift suggested the same in today's Newsweek piece:

Campaigning in South Carolina, Bill Clinton accused the media of adopting the Obama campaign's spin by injecting race into the campaign. "Shame on you," he scolded a reporter. The take in Washington is that if anyone was using race for political advantage, it was the Clintons. "It's like Obi-Wan Kenobi yelling at Luke Skywalker because he's using the Force," exclaimed a Democratic senator, astounded by Clinton's audacity. The cynical view is that the Clintons have deliberately tapped into deep-seated racial feelings.

It's not a cynical view - it's an accurate one.
