How often do Festivus, Hanukkah, and Shabbat fall on the same day?
Any of my fellow members of the tribe know if Feats of Strength are permitted on Shabbat? <g>
Additionally, should you do the Airing of the Grievances before or after kiddush and motzi? <g>

Sad day. The pole is going back into the crawl space for another year ...

Not that I'm a rabbinic school graduate or anything, ESt., but I'm guessing the feats of strength aren't permitted on the Shabbat.

I'd go with airing the grievances after the Motzi. Easy transition there.

And Dools, with you on the Susan dying from bad envelope glue, but Festivus is brilliant. Last Thanksgiving weekend, we were in Ventura County for one of my daughter's soccer tournaments. After her games that day, we were back in the hotel room cleaning up before dinner and flipped on Seinfeld.

The Festvus episode was on and everything stopped. We were supposed to meet a bunch of the other soccer families in the lobby before dinner. Well, we weren't going anywhere until the episode was done. I ignored five, six, seven texts wondering where the hell we were, but I kept stalling them and stalling them.

Certain Seinfeld episodes can do that. That was one of them.
