    Congratulations Palmetto.

We had someone in our office have his first child this week. I'm sure one day I'll have the same thread to start.

Congrats, Palmetto. My daughter turned four months yesterday, and we celebrated by me taking her to the U. of Podunk's homecoming game to show her off in the press box. She met lots of people and saw where daddy works, and I even took her down on the field to see for the first time with her own blue eyes (and not on TV,which she LOVES to watch whenever football is on) why college football is so magical.

We didn't stay for the game (it is a WORKING press box, after all ... :) ) but when my wife came home from work, little RB was so excited she gurgled and blurbled for an hour to my wife -- seemingly telling her ALL about it. That sight made sprinting into the office to help finish the paper all the more worth it.

Congrats, Palmetto. The sight of your child coming out healthy is the greatest sight in the world. Period. I've been blessed to experience it twice.

Bill Horton's column should be required reading for any parent. Brilliant work.

And your boss is an assclown. Enough said.
