    the final live performance by the greatest rock band of all time








    As performances go, it was a C-plus: a very rough rehearsal of brand new material they really didn't know yet, under freezing cold conditions in which you would never hold an actual concert, they hadn't played in actual live conditions in almost three years.

    But it shows some of what we could have seen in the 1970s (hell, the 1980s and 90s if the Stones are any indication) if the lawyers had kept their fingers out of it. And yes, they passed the audition.

    Just transferred my "Let It Be" VHS to DVD recently and watched the whole buildup and execution of that concert again. Cant even imagine being on the streets of London that day. Awesome.
