    My vote goes to the fact that she's a kid having a kid... seems to me that would have greater long-term effects...

    This makes the Spears family look bad, I wouldn't say they make Louisiana look bad anymore than I'd say that Peyton Manning's rise to fame and winning the Super bowl last year made Louisiana look good, or Ellen DeGeneres hosting the Oscars and being a successful talk-show host makes it look good, either.

    The latter. Mistakes happen to all of us. We don't all go for the press. Of course, if we could, some of us might. So that might not be a fair comparison.
