    Wrong again. In hindsight, if it was a scam, then there was even less reason to evacuate the school or handcuff the kid.

    Except that is hindsight. There was nothing in the reports after it happened to indicate the police had such a suspicion. That was all conjecture by folks trying to justify what the police did after the fact.
