Univision occasionally beats NBC in weekly ratings. It's entirely relevant in this discussion.

You do realize there is a rather sizable contingent of Hispanics in this nation that choose to watch television in their native language, don't you?

When the draw was announced last year, I jumped out of my chair and fist pumped.

Today for the group I had over, I fixed hotdogs, apple pie and banned import beer, had my flag flying from the house.

Don't know if it was the biggest, but it was certainly anticipated.

You do realize Ryan isn't among them, which is his point? How exactly is it that horrible of a thing that the guy hasn't heard of a channel that broadcasts in a language he doesn't speak?

His second question still stands. Why wouldn't it be included already?

    Separate ratings for separate networks.

And the soap operas are quite entertaining, too.

Uh ... for the plotlines, of course. ;D

And Piotr can fight his, but that didn't stop you from jumping in. But thank you for answering the question. That makes sense.

Who knew I was the only person in America unfamiliar with Univision.

Do they show other sporting events on this Univision? And is this Univision usually added in when determining ratings for certain events?

Because it's a U.S. station. It gets its own separate ratings that people in the U.S. watch, even though it's the same result.

It'd be like saying why would ESPN and CBS get the same figured included if they showed the same event? They wouldn't.

Or, a different way. CBS and NBC both showed Super Bowl I. Both had separate ratings, separate number of viewers. When combined, that's was the final rating/viewership.

Univision and Telemundo ratings are separate because that's how they make the large amounts of money they do make.
