Is this the worst mofo idea ever? Sho'Nuff.

While looking up something on the Death Wish III thread, I came across this piece of disturbing news (and it's from November, so forgive me if it had been posted before):

    http://movies.hollyscoop.com/samuel-l-jackson/samuel-l-jackson-lands-role-in-the-last-dragon_1121.aspx

Apparently, there's a "Last Dragon" remake in the works. While the concept of Samuel L. Jackson as Sho'Nuff has some promise, when is enough enough, Hollywood? Can't we leave some stuff in the 80s?
I don't have a problem remaking movies that have spawned franchises lasting into this era (like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Transformers, etc.). Those have a long enough lifespan that a "reimagining" could reinvigorate them a little.
But this ... this was a one-off, cheese-o-rama movie that could only happen in the 80s. Hollywood has gone too far now.

  2. I won't be satisfied until they remake Breakin' and Krush Groove.

I, for one, will not rest until Just One Of The Guys is remade.

Oh yeah but Bynes didn't flash her rack in that one. Hence, not a remake.

And if she did, by God, you've seen the last of me here.

    I am the master.

I LOVED that movie. Of course, I was nine or 10 when I saw it.

    Didn't DeBarge do the soundtrack?
