    Amateur is clearly okay. Pro straddles the line very uncomfortably.

    boxing should be fine. but there certainly are problems in the scoring system as it stands. lots of em. definitely too much subjectivity on how effectively aggressive fighters/punches landed are, etc. the amateur setup is better with the electronic scoring - though it does lead to boring fights if one fighter gets too far ahead early. certainly it's accurate, though.

    and there you bump into the gray area I immediately mentioned.

    "Clearly okay"? No way in hell. They changed a horrible system after the Roy Jones debacle in Seoul, and has it gotten any better?
