Is this REALLY appropriate behavior from a professional journalist?

You wonder whose choice it was to end the Twitter account.

 

Yeah, I can't imagine an MLB beat writer not having a Twitter account at all. If they're pulling the plug on that, could be more at play.

 

Meanwhile, @SloaneMartin is becoming a bit of a Twitter cult hero.

 

Believe it or not, I felt like we were agreeing on things. I think I was just being more bitchy about it.

 

I think he's a columnist now, not the Sox beat writer.

 

Ah. Lost track of that. In that case this may not be all that meaningful. Columnists typically would have a Twitter account, but I wouldn't say it's a requirement.

 

Think of the positive here: For one news cycle, people actually paid attention to what a newspaper columnist had to say in 2012.

Granted, it was through an online platform.

Cowley staged a successful battle against cancer

I wouldn't say he beat it. Cancer just got tired of hanging around such an enormous asshole.

 

Was it rectal cancer?

 

I've had a few interactions with her in the past, and she's a real pro. Can't imagine she's enjoying this crap at all.

Not that it makes Cowley look any worse than he already does, but to say what he said to a fellow reporter is really uncalled for. Grow the fuck up.
