Sixteen year old girl who plays Mary is now pregnant. The boyfriend is 19.

Apparently, the Pope (not named Dirk) Benedict has distanced himself from the movie because of the situation.

 

Love all the comments on that site, especially the plays on the title: "Pregnant star pulls out" -- apparently pulling out crossed her mind but not her boyfriend's.

Also nice to see His Holiness keeping up his church's tradition of sticking its collective head in the sand rather than dealing head-on with an issue that deserves informed leadership.
