Is this a fireable offense?

    There's considerably more grumbling over him describing her negatively. As you might expect. Describing her positively would be a compliment.

    Well, a few years ago when Frank Deford (regarded as a near-deity in the sports journalism world) wrote a story all but literally gushing ( ::) ::) ) over Anna Kournikova's considerable and abundant physical charms, his reception wasn't real positive either. ::)
     
  3. What if, instead of showing complete ignorance and an unwillingness to understand, he actually did some research or, I don't know, actually talked to her. The whole tone of the post was derisive and insulting her looks was the icing.

    Complimenting her looks wouldn't have been 100 percent appreciated either. Especially if he did it the same ignorant way he criticized her appearance. "She's got some nice looking hooters."

    Might have been trying to be nice but still comes across as a looser.
