Is this a dickhead move?

    I had to deal with very much the same shit when I lived in an apartment with roommates. One of them complained his room was much hotter than the rest of the apartment and would turn the air conditioning down to 60. He, my other roommate and I all had knock-downs about it.

    Finally, I offered to buy him a room air conditioner. I don't remember a whole lot about the conversation when I did that, but what I *do* remember was afterwards, he turned the air conditioning up to about 78 or so.

    Rule of thumb:

    As soon as you can afford it, live on your own. And then don't move back in with anyone unless you're sleeping with them.

    Financially, you may suffer. But the peace of mind is more than worth it.

    If your parents live upstairs in the rest of the house, they count as roommates.

    i had five roommates before i moved in with the future mrs. petty, and only two of them were total douches.

    I have had two roommates in my life, they are two of my closest friends to this day. I am convinced the reason for this is that we were friends before we lived together.
