Never seen those before, so I read up on them. Apparently they're made by Boots Healthcare International. This might make me second-guess them ;)

Generally speaking, if you have to ask, it's a bad idea.

Bullshit. If Chef's suicide-by-corn-removal didn't end him, nothing will.

Get some health insurance. Yeah, I know. But find something.

I am not a doctor but gargling with hydrogen peroxide is a thing: http://www.ehow.com/how_2086312_safely-gargle-hydrogen-peroxide.html

Dad isn't trying to kill you. But in case he is: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002652.htm

If you can't afford health insurance, maybe you can get a pack of Sucrets.

Usually when you ask if it's a bad idea, it's a bad idea. At least I've learned that in my youth.

    use cayenne pepper (in water/tea/soup/etc.)

it will really help a sore throat. it's anti-microbial.

Gargling peroxide is perfectly safe. It kills bacteria in your mouth and it will help whiten your teeth.

    Yes.

One drop of bleach per gallon of water = city tap water.
