Is there really no thread yet on Jim Bowden?

Funniest part of the whole trade deadline for me.

There's a fake Joel Sherman twitter account and it reported the Phillies traded Marlon Byrd to the Yankees. Jim Bowden then tweets -- unattributed, as if his original "reporting" -- that Byrd has been traded to Yankees.

Obviously this is a big screw up for Bowden since he apparently stole something fake but what's funniest about the story are the lengths he then went to in order to cover up his crime.

The latest, since the deadspin story, is that he's claiming his twitter was hacked.

You should know by now that everything to do with MLB is grouped into
a running tread where Bowden story was discussed.

I figured this would be separate because it's actually more journalism than baseball.

Would you suspend him if you're ESPN?

Given the number of suspensions ESPN has issued for improper or lack of sourcing, this question is like a fart in the wind.

Not going to happen, and you could make the case that the lack of action on such stuff in the past for them could be interpreted as ESPN encouraging its people to not source a fucking thing.

    Righto.
And all I need to know is that Jim Bowden, a huge dipshit even before his "media" career, works for ESPN.

No, then he'll quite and go to work for The Mad Dog Network

I have noticed several of his tweets today have very specific attribution.
