Yeah. You might want to check that when the team you cover says "We skeeted all over them tonight."

Reminds me of the college tight end I covered who had just caught his first pass in a game. A group of reporters gathered around in the postgame and one asks him about his first catch. He answers,

"Ha ha, yeah, Coach said I got my cherry popped!"

So, I guess when someone hit's a double, we can't say he hit a two-bagger?

If you remember, that same guy referred to the big rivalry game as "nut-cuttin' time."

Reminds me of the time a writer asked a guy the name of his boat, and he said, "It's the Pussy Hound." After the writer tells him she can't use that name in print, he says, "OK, just call it the Fudge Packer."

And she did. And it printed.

A recruiting magazine once listed future Alabama star David Palmer's nickname in its top prospects list.

    Palmer's nickname?

One of my favorite newspaper "gaffes" of all-time.

A hockey writer was doing a Q&A with a European-born player and when they asked him who his favorite actor was, he said "Rocco Siffredi"

Nobody who read the story had ever heard of the guy. The paper got about 300 angry calls and emails the next day and had to run an apology.

It's a similar deal here, most people are not familiar with the meaning of "teabag"

If I didn't listen to Stern, I'd have no idea what it means.

Those who know, censor it. As they should.

On American Idol earlier this season, one of the contestants was talking about her dog at home. Fox bleeped out "shih tzu."

    I shih you not.
