Webby has a point -- even if he doesn't realize it.

Just a few years ago, Florida college football was just the big three. Then, South Florida and Central Florida started programs. So did, Florida International and Florida Atlantic. All of those teams have 85 scholarships as well. While all but USF aren't great teams, they are taking some talent away from the big three.

So are schools like Louisville, which has siphoning good talent out of Florida for at least the last decade (even longer if you consider Schnellenberger's stint).

All in all, there are more teams to compete for the talent base, which has not grown accordingly. And while some FIU and FAU players wouldn't start in Tallahassee or Miami, they would be considered key reserves.

If you have been following Papa Bowden then you have to see that he doesn't think there is much to fix. He is so detached from reality it has become sad to watch and Terry Bowden has about the same chance as getting the job as you do, zilch.

Funny how most of the heir apparents for Bowden's job: all three sons, Brad Scott, Gene McDowell, played their way out of it. Back in the late 80s and ealry 90s, Brad Scott was the odds-on to get the job. The sons have turned out to be spectacularly imcompetent (well, maybe not Terry, but he couldn't handle things off the field). They'll never get Mark Richt from Georgia because of a huge buy-out clause.

And forget about guys like Bobby Petrino or Rich Rodriguez. This one stays in the family. They've been grooming Kevin Steele for the job, who is listed as an executive head coach.

By the way, their roster also lists Mickey Andrews as associate head coach and Billy Sexton as assistant head coach. Too bad there apparenlty isn't a coach in charge of blocking and tackling.

Don't worry Florida fans, Arkansas will pull its patented post-Thanksgiving gack and Florida football glory will live to die another day.
