    Well?

  2. That's a tough one. Sometimes I think they are and sometimes I think no. Bottom line is if you put yourself in a bad situation whether you're black, white, hispanic, asian, etc., you have to expect the criticism that comes with it.

Yep. David Robinson is an absolute jerk. I see that on TV all the time. (missingbluefont)

If this is a Bonds-is-being-picked-on thread, excuse me while I grab a bucket.

If you mean does the media tend to cast black sports figures as villains (which isn't quite the same as to vilify them) more than white ones, I think Bill Belichick, John Rocker, Ryan Leaf, Bill Laimbeer and Bill Romanowski would say no.

    No.

The media villifies athletes and coaches who have a history of being assholes.

Yup, Tiger Woods sure takes a beating in the media. (When I saw this thread, I had no doubt who started it.)

Yep. Completely ignores Tom Brady's involvement in dog fighting.

My thoughts exactly. I already said, "Oh, Christ. ..."

The media reports the wrongdoings of others, black or white.
